This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Secure Campus app ("App") provided by the University of Guyana. By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or App.
1. User Eligibility
You must be a registered student, staff member, or authorized user of the University of Guyana to access and use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements.
2. User Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information when using the App.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Appropriate Use: You agree not to use the App for any unlawful or prohibited activities, including but not limited to spamming, harassing others, or distributing harmful content.
3. Services and Features
Secure Campus offers a range of features to assist with navigation, safety, academic resources, and student engagement, including but not limited to:
- Campus Navigation
- Incident Reporting
- Event Management
- Club & Group Information
- Job & Internship Listings
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice.
4. Privacy and Data Collection
Your use of the App may involve the collection and use of personal data. By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines the types of data collected and how it is used, stored, and protected.
5. User-Generated Content
You may be able to submit content, such as event listings, job postings, or incident reports, through the App. You retain ownership of your content, but by submitting it, you grant Secure Campus a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display the content in connection with the App.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and features provided within the App, including but not limited to logos, trademarks, and proprietary software, are owned by Secure Campus or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the App without express written permission.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate any provisions of this Agreement or engage in activities that disrupt the App’s functionality. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secure Campus and the University of Guyana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of the App at all times.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute related to this Agreement, you agree to resolve the matter through mediation or arbitration as determined by the University of Guyana.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Guyana.
11. Changes to Terms
Secure Campus reserves the right to update, modify, or change this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be communicated via the App or email, and continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
